It was my niece's birthday today. Ah! She was so adorable. ♥ She's three and cute and adorable and shy and I can't wait until she's old enough so I can watch all the cartoons I've been stalking up on. And she likes princesses! But I am no good with children and my dad and sister both are. I do not think she likes me as much as them. I shall forever be the "weird aunt" instead of the "cool aunt".

I am bored with my holiday already. It is only Monday? It feels like Wednesday or Thursday! Well, not tired enough to start painting again, evidently. Though I should go to the art store tomorrow to pick up supplies. Get my homework done now rather than later.

I feel like a hot fudge sundae. It is not that late. I could go to the grocery store and pick up something that resembles a hot fudge sundae. ... I'll be back in a bit.

It's been a while since I've painted with watercolours, and I've just realized I never really understood how. Well.

In other news, I finally started watching Merlin again. I think I just didn't like the episode that I left off in (the one with the dude with the snake!shield), so I skipped it. The next episode was much better. Merlin and Gwen are so cute. Ah. But Arthur and Merlin are cute together too. Grarh. I am thinking that maybe it'll end up the same way Princess Tutu did, with an OT4. Okay, and now I'm imagining a Princess Tutu-Merlin crossover... Now I'm just imagining Merlin dancing ballet... Sometimes, my brain goes to strange places.

Sometimes I think that songs should be titled after whatever their most ear-wormy lyric is. For example, the "Yellow Submarine" is doing this right. But the new weirdo Killers song should really be titled "Dancer" instead of "Human". Or possibly "Are you Dancer?", at least then it would be truth in advertising. And yes, I only say this so that I can look up the song immediately rather than taking a roundabout way involving looking for lyrics to find out the song title.

My ability to spill paint, drop things, and cause general destruction in Drawing class is seriously becoming a bother. At least I just dropped the water and not the pallet. Last semester I spilled half my ink twice in a roll. SIGH. Although, the other day I broke a plate by dropping a glass on it, so maybe it's just me.

I think I did discover today that I like Dramatic Sprinting. I'm perfecting the art of sliding sideways to go around corners. DRAMATICALLY sliding sideways.

Yesterday I had an exam, one of my sisters returned from abroad and one of them had a birthday. So I didn't update my comic. Do not fear! The challenge is still on. I updated twice today: A latecomer and IT'S A TRAP.

Alright! My new project is up and running. Awesome. It's a spin-off (prequel) to my Nano Novel, about Arthur Bedivere's adventures during the Second World War. It's basically about him beating up nazis. I'm trying to make it a self contained story, but there's a lot of stuff that, to use tvTropes vocabulary, that's All There In the Manual.

Yesterday I set a timer so that I wouldn't spend too much time on the internet just as I was about to check something on tvTropes. I am satisfied that I am not quite as geeky as the writer from Shortpacked! who has a Hot Shot shrine.

And no, I am not thinking about making a CLAMP shrine. Or my phonebooth. Or the shelf that has all my superhero action figures. I am not that geeky. I am not thinking of..

My sister, go figure, had the sudden urge (?) to watch Torchwood. So I watched it too since I kinda like Doctor Who and was pleasantly surprised to realize that I really enjoyed it. Though I've only seen two episodes so far (the first and third; Britt watched the second without me).

I really feel like drawing stuff on my computer. Hmm. More specifically, I feel like drawing Harry Potter stuffs.

Oh, and I went to a small con yesterday and got to meet a couple of cool artists and I ran into one of my friends (?) from school.

And my phone keeps on freaking out. :/

Sister rented the first season of Veronica Mars, which isn't that bad, actually. I like the head of the Motorcycle gang and Veronica's father. Veronica is cool too.

Ehhh, I need to stop being lazy and actually do my work. Saturdays are impossible for me, though. It's like something in my brain goes "Oh no, you can't do work today. Today's Saturday. Now get your butt downstairs and watch the Legion of Superheroes so you don't have to pay for it like you did with JLU." (On that note- my inner slasher lurves herself some Brainiac 5.) Getting a new DS game and aforementioned Veronica Mars doesn't help either.

I'd like to say my art's improved. Well, I draw backgrounds now and kinda understand perspective and some other neat stuff. Actually, nowadays I have to experiment every time I do anything that's not school. Like today I was drawing animals because I felt I needed practice.

Oh, and I read this book called Ruinmarks. It was good. My inner mythologist loved it. All that Norse references... hmm, maybe I should record all my "inner selves" sometime.
