Crazy I am Slowly Going

Almost there... almost there...

Tomorrow I have an exam. Then I have to clean my sister's room before she gets back and finds out a metaphorical hurricane went through it.

THEN I AM FREE FREE MY GOD I WILL BE FREE MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *coughcough*

So I finished the 100 pages required for Script Frenzy. Maybe it's just me, but Screnzy 10x easier than Nano. ALSO. My comic involves robots and moving plushie unicorns and cops named after alloys. Oh Brass. Oh Steel. Oh Nambe. You are all so awesome. But mostly it is about a bunch of superheroes standing around going "What?"

Yes, I am avoiding studying. How are you?

It was my niece's birthday today. Ah! She was so adorable. ♥ She's three and cute and adorable and shy and I can't wait until she's old enough so I can watch all the cartoons I've been stalking up on. And she likes princesses! But I am no good with children and my dad and sister both are. I do not think she likes me as much as them. I shall forever be the "weird aunt" instead of the "cool aunt".

I am bored with my holiday already. It is only Monday? It feels like Wednesday or Thursday! Well, not tired enough to start painting again, evidently. Though I should go to the art store tomorrow to pick up supplies. Get my homework done now rather than later.

I feel like a hot fudge sundae. It is not that late. I could go to the grocery store and pick up something that resembles a hot fudge sundae. ... I'll be back in a bit.

Dear internet: Do not go to art school if you want to be lazy. Go to art school if you want to work your butt off and spend all your money on paint with no social life.

Say what you want about old retired hippies, but they know their goddamn stuff. Listening to them talk about the power of protest? And knowing what they lived through?

That, m'dears, is why the world looks so different now.

I need to get my act together.

My class today didn't suck! I was so nervous and now I'm kind of happy. I definitely think my last prof and me didn't mesh well.

Things that would be brilliant: Mike Mignola. Gargoyle Comic. Think about it.

My cat is snoring right now. It is squeekily adorable.

It is so friggin' cold outside.

I can't concentrate on my studying.

Dear self, drawing Batman and Tintin holding hands - even if you make a point of making sure Bats has finely developed gastrocnemius muscles - does not studying make. Thank you, me.

I updated my comic! In which I hope nobody notices how much I hate drawing backgrounds.

Team members: Okay, come at three. *I come at three* Team Members: BTW, we meant 4:30. Me: Aw, cufflinks. I'm going to the bookstore. 4:50, meet up with Team Members. Team Members: BTW, the actual presentation is at six. Me: ....Gah. 6:00, go to the classroom. 6:30, his class arrives. 7:00, he arrives. 7:15, the presentation's over and I can go have pancakes.

... I am unamused.

O RLY? YA RLY!
Me = Dumb.

The project I was talking about yesterday? Yeah, I left it on the table when I left for class this morning. Luckily, my prof was very understanding, which is strange since she's supposed to be an Art Director, and they're not supposed to be understanding.

I'm not entirely sure why I'm listening to the Village People, but I feel like bursting into spontaneous dancing. I get the impression that this is the entire point of the Village People.

Today's page is up. Who saw this coming? Fess up. I did it on my laptop, but the internet wasn't working so I had to transport it to Chii with my usb, so no - I'm not going to fix that typo.

I came downstairs to upload my comic and the tv was on playing this weird movie that was about three-thirds through. I had no idea what was going on.

I came all the way back from school and realized that I had forgotten something important about my project, and now I have to figure out to adjust it.

Apparently I did get the DNA thing wrong last page. *sigh* The new page is up! In which we meet a couple of new characters. I totally forgot to add the gag that he's supposed to be reading "A Short History of England.

I don't have adobe Illustrator. And my (almost) last assignment sort of requires it, so I head to the school this morning so I can work on it. Only I arrive too early and the doors are closed.

And it's really slagging cold and windy outside. The coldest day so far this winter.

I go back to the subway, and it stops two stations away because of problems and I can't take it either way. So I call my sister and have her check the times of the school and discover I was only twenty minutes early. Frig. I walk back (in the cold!) to the school since I can't take the subway, and decide to get something to eat in the meantime. Yeah, no. The place I wanted to go to was insanely busy.

It was like the city was just telling me to go work on my cufflinks project already.

PS: I am experimenting with amusing cusswords. I am determined to make "cufflinks" some sort of swearword somehow.

PPS: This whomps.

The snow is so pretty! But with snow comes the cold, and I hate the cold.

Argh, I hate group projects! Especially when they ask you to do stuff and then tell you what you did was wrong and then ask you to do more stuff that's practically impossible! FRIG THIS. This class isn't even worth it. At least communicate properly.

I updated my comic, and I think it's already jumped the shark. He was trying to clone Hitler again...

And Don't Come Back!
So I said that nobody cares last post and now I am eating my words. Oh well, that is fine. (I am not using contractions because my keyboard is being ridiculously stupid right now.)

Let me correct myself. Canadian politics right now: quickly going from snafu to fubar.

I had my last class with a Certain Teacher this semester, so I can stop being such a lame-o loser who bursts into tears all the time. And yes, I really did just type "lame-o".

Whoo! I passed 30k! Go me! Go me! Snippet:
“I can guess. Anything else you’d like?”

“Yeah, can you get me some perfume?”

She stared at me. I stared at her back.

Class wasn't bad today, also cool!

And roasting marshmallows is less fun indoors, by yourself, when they're tiny, on a fondue fork, and your 'fire' is in fact a pair of candles.

Nanowrimo Day Twelve

Blue Beetle
They are canceling Blue Beetle.

This cannot be allowed to happen. I WILL MAKE OUT WITH YOU IF I HAVE TO.

It's time to activate super-secret pushy mode. I am tired of all my favorite characters dying or my favorite titles being canceled.

--

The class that usually gives me a ton of homework gave a lot less than usual, and since I don't have any homework due for the next of the week, I took the day off. Got some writing done, wrote some Nano, got my cds for the exchange ready, read some comics. And now I'm bored. For the past few weeks it's been such a break-neck pace that I don't know what to do with 'free time' now that I have it. The good ol' summer days of watching ten episodes of some tv show in a row are over.

19 460 words. Snippet: “I was an ARTIST.” “I thought you were an archaeologist?” “I was.” “I am very confused.” This is me trying to retcon something without actually contracticting previously established things (because I'd rewrite them, but y'know, Nano).

Sleepy Cannonball
I skipped watching Heroes so I could work on my homework. Oddly enough, I am convinced that I was procrastinating watching Heroes by working on my homework rather than vice versa.

I have so much work to do! Cry cry, cry cry.

16672 words.

I'm going to bed now.

Nanowrimo Day Seven

Blue Beetle
Cake is love.

An idea for one of my assignments came to me out of the blue, and I was quite surprised. I think it's corny, and maybe a little cliche, but at least I have something to offer. I got a little homework done, but not as much as a wanted. Ah well.

I was having difficulty writing today, and I'm a little behind, but I managed to jump to 11 084 words. Brunch tomorrow! Oh, and a little snippet.

So we set out. It turned out we were in an attic, which actually belonged to somebody, and so we had to be very stealthy.
Later, as we were running away while the family busily called the cops, I decided to plan these little outings better.

Nanowrimo Day Six

Please
I did this drawing for one of my classes which turned out hilariously, if I say so myself. I meant to just draw an old guy and ended up with a famous old guy entirely by accident.

I wanted to watch Pumpkin Scissors, but I couldn't find it. I did watch a couple of episodes of Romeo x Juliet, which I liked. A lot. But then again, I'm a sucker for crossdressing.

10 023 words! That's one fifth of my nano novel done, right on schedule! If I can keep up this pace, I should actually finish this year! Exclamation mark! Here, have a snippet.

" ... I have thought about it, and I have considered it, and I finally decided based on nothing you did or you said. Menzies is out of control, and nobody seems to want to take him down. Not CAWS, not you gods, not anybody. But I’ll do it. To be fair, I need something to do. And he pointed a gun at my head.”

“And killed me!” said Dan Kord.

“And killed Dan,” I said.

Nanowrimo Day Three

Don't mess with my moogle
I am so tired of this stupid pig. I wash my hands of you, pig.

I feel so unmotivated today. I hope a good night's sleep and stuff will help with that. I dunno. Yeah.

Mostly I just wanted to say that I've passed the five thousand mark. Now I just need to multiply that by ten. Well, it's only been three days, so I'm right on schedule.

Snippet! I flashed back to him blowing up half the museum with his henchmen (and henchwomen). “Tall dark and handsome? He held some weird revolver or gun thing to my head. He’s kind of a jerk.”
Watching You
Hallowe'en! I tested out my Riddler costume last night (and that was fun), and now to scare trickrtreaters. Whoo!

Also! Nanowrimo starts tomorrow. But I have a ton of homework (although still less than last week) that I'm not done. I should do a bunch today so I don't interrupt my writing, but I can't seem to get myself motivated.

So yeah.

But where would I find a purple tie anyway?

  • Oct. 25th, 2008 at 10:04 AM
Watching You
I just finished the cane for my Riddler costume. Snazzy! And lightweight. Now I just need a purple tie, pants, and more question marks. Maybe a mask? What's hilarious it the main problem with my costume is my face. I have such a girly face.

I think I'm going to try to get most of it done today, even though I have a lot of work to do.

Oh, and help! Other than the pig, what makes you think of Lord of the Flies?

Did all that studying just pay off?

  • Oct. 21st, 2008 at 8:43 PM
Are you f*cking serious? Siriusly?
Class ended early today so I'm watching House. Lesbians!

And I got the marks back from my Anatomy Midterm I had this morning (yeah, they emailed us the results real fast). About ten percentish over the class average! Booyah.

Self esteem levels: higher than they usually are on a tuesday.

B's birthday present: Still hasn't arrived.

Nano: Almost ready to start cooking.
