And am getting very tired of Villa Savoye

  • Jun. 27th, 2009 at 9:26 AM
Bink!
So when my Carpal Tunnel wouldn't go away after two weeks, the doctor gave me another round of pills and scheduled an appointment with the hospital at the neurology department.

Between the scheduling of the appointment and the actual appointment, the carpal tunnel went away (I still have Tendonitis though, and am getting rather worried about it).

They tested my nerves by giving little electrical shocks to the nerves in my arm, and the static would continue down them making my fingers twitch involuntarily. They did this at multiple points and it felt Very Strange.

Also, my summer course is almost over, I have read several books (including a bunch of Sharpe novels, the new Tamora Pierce book, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel, and Moribito), watched a season and a few episodes of R2 of Code Geass, completely failed to find Blackadder the Fourth, and designed my own fictional culture.

So, how are you guys doing?

What the hell?
Gonna try to make this quick.

Right around the time I started my summer course, my Tendonitis decided to Get Worse and became full-fledged Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. (It was my bicycles fault after all!)

So I quit my usual internet places for a bit because - you know - Carpal Tunnel.

Start lurking again and... what the hell? What happened to my favorite places? Screw this, I'm going back Temporarilly Quitting The Internets

Anyway, so I'm alive and stuff. See you in another couple of weeks when my wrist is all better (hopefully).

So I have tendonitis. Typing with just my left hand is difficult.

Peers! Don't spend a week doing nothing but typing on the comp, playing video games, and riding a bicycle.

Bored with a Headache

Miguel and Tulio and Guitar
So I'm sick. And rather miserable, though I feel better than I did this morning (but that's not saying much).

When I'm sick, I tend to watch comfort movies. So I watched the Road to El Dorado, which I've been thinking about since a few of my New Friends are fans. I love that movie so much. ♥ I haven't seen it in a while though.

And Sky High, which I also love, even if it is corny and predictable (but being predictable only matters the first time).

Ah! But I saw the latest episode of Leverage as well. Just now. I guess it's the end of season one? Luckily, they've announced Season Two. I like Leverage, but working on Leverage is what I guess to be the reason John Rogers isn't doing comics right now. I have very mixed feelings about that.

Sick, sick, sick.

I hate colds. I hate being sick.

Why do I always get them?

Whatever, I'm off to watch strange movies that my dad bought on sale for cheap that I've never even seen.

The worst bit is that we were supposed to go to the zoo today, so they might go without me.

Watching You
How am I supposed to do research when I'm sick?

Everything seems like a good idea in my state of mind. Which would explain the ruined drawing of Stargate Atlantis crew wearing skirts with pom-poms.

Under the cut: Random Youtube Videos. Lucky Organization, SSBB dance and... )

Bleeegh, I knew it.

Don't Cry
I have a cold. My nose is like a tap.

I've tried eating vitamin c and drinking tea and even some pills, but the pills just seem to give me a headache.

I had a dream where B lied to me about Jodi Foster being a lesbian.

Argh, I didn't go to my morning class, but I'm planning to at least drop off my assignment for my evening class. It's the last week! Why do I have to get sick now?

In Which I Am Hopefully Healthy Again

Still the Prettiest!
I'm not sick anymore! I hope. You wouldn't believe how long it's been since I've had a one-week cold that slowly showed up, and faded away within days.

Differences in treatment: More comedies (laughter's the best medicine), less superhero movies. More vitamin c. One half-cup of lemon tea before I found out I don't like Lemon Tea. I tried to make normal tea but it burnt my hand. And spilled on the floor. Anyway... Oh, and no homework I needed to do. Normally I get sick during the school year, so worrying about my homework never helps. Reread four volumes of Yotsuba.

Oh! And yesterday bought the second volume of Princess-Princess (which is not a boy's love manga, but does feel like one, sorta, and involves crossdressing) and the fifth volume of Yotsuba and a couple of comics. Dad actually read Teen Titans Year One after I described my love affair with the art. I was just as surprised as that time he actually watched X-men. And Spider-man. O.o Weirdin' me out here. He usually just watches romantic comedies and reads history and/or sci-fi.

Sickity, sickity, sick.

Thinking
Is "sickity" even a word?

I've been sick since thursday night. Blegghhh, I hate getting sick. It's always the same.

So yesterday I watched a whole lot of CSI: Miami (there was a marathon) and some Mirrormask (which was really good, but it takes a while to get used to. Oh, and played a lot of Suikoden II.

If it weren't for Suikoden II, I think I would go mad. Normally I cringe at older graphics (I've been spoiled), but I never was bothered at all by II's graphics. I think it's because the story gets you right away. It's so good! I can see why people who played II before III thought II was better. I still have a little space in my heart for III, but I think II is going fast-track to one of my favorite games ever. Ahh, Suikoden. What did I ever do before you?

When one is sick, one isn't as bothered by Horatio and the blonde chick. However, still prefer Las Vegas.

Sick, sick, sick

Don't mess with my moogle
I get sick way too easily.

Am home sick.

Watched both Spidermans since watching Superhero movies is what I do when sick.

Superhero movies for the win!

Need to watch the X-mens. And Batman Begins. And you know, do homework.

EDIT: Watched Batman Begins. Want Soundtrack. Also want Batcave, Liam Neeson and Gary Oldman, plzkthnx.

A Bad Move
We are not happy, precious.

1) have a Historical investigation due tommarow.

2) Am getting increasingly sicker. Stupid colds.

3) Computer won't work, preventing me from working on 1).

*takes another kleenex*

EDIT: At least the computer works now.

I've been out of the loop! X.X

So about me: been sick for the last few days. Eyup. Missed Philosophy class today and Env. Sys. -_-;;

My nose hurts.

Going to see Hamlet tommarow, hopefully. Should be fun. ^^ "To play or not to play; that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of multiple players, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by oppising, beat the game..."

Oh, and finished the rough draft of my short story for English, if you want to read it. (see! I have been doing homework!)

Life Debt )

*looks at garbage beside me* Trees hate me know. I've already emptied one kleenex box.

Hate being sick. DX

Watched Corpse Bride yesterday. Was okay. The ending was good. ^^

Am up to ep. 20 in FMA.

Am going to watch Lilo and Stitch... it always makes me feel better.

Hate being sick. If I'm still sick on monday I think I'm going to DIE. School's hard enough now without having to catch up on stuff. T_T

Being sick for a week straight is not cool. >.< Especially when the symtoms start repeating.

Apparently gossip is natural. I'd still rather gossip about Harry Potter than real people.

I look outside and wonder... Where the heck did spring go?

And where did the month of May go anyway?
