Gonna try to make this quick.

Right around the time I started my summer course, my Tendonitis decided to Get Worse and became full-fledged Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. (It was my bicycles fault after all!)

So I quit my usual internet places for a bit because - you know - Carpal Tunnel.

Start lurking again and... what the hell? What happened to my favorite places? Screw this, I'm going back Temporarilly Quitting The Internets

Anyway, so I'm alive and stuff. See you in another couple of weeks when my wrist is all better (hopefully).

So I've had a busy day. I bought the first Thursday Next book yesterday, finished it this morning, and ran about today looking for the second one.

Most of what I've been doing, however, is obsessively running about the internet trying to find news, comments, posts and mentions of the whole Scans_Daily affair. I'm actually a little bit scared at myself at how much time that took up.

I need to watch the newest episode of Leverage. I hate season finales. Give me a nice mid-season episode any day. (With the exception of the SG:Atlantis episode "The Siege: Part II". That was a good episode. Mostly because I like seeing Sheppard being a badass. Weird things about Stargate! While my favorite characters are Beckett and McKay, [honorary mention to Weir and Ronon and Sheppard] most of my favorite episodes are Sheppard episodes. Except for Duet, which I like for entirely different reasons).

Good day. We meant to go Toy Shopping but really ended up in a bunch of old bookstores and used dvd stores and stuff. I got the second season of my guilty pleasure, Smallville, and a couple Wodehouse books. I need more things to read, really.

Oh! I gained a couple new friends. So welcome, and I hope I don't bore and/or irritate you.

I miss my hats. Stupid winter means I've been only wearing one or two for the past couple of months.

Oh, and I've become a little bit addicted to twitter, which I basically started so I wouldn't spam my lj every few minutes. So instead I spam twitter.

Hulu.com is a great idea. Emphasis on the 'idea'.

I want to watch things like first season Chuck (which I just discovered) and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along-Blog. Thing is, they won't let sites like megavideo keep them (for good reason), but they're only available on Hulu and iTunes. I don't have iTunes.

And Hulu's only available in the blue pencil States!

They do seem to want to expand their service though. But until then - *shakefist*.

Y'know, if I wasn't so not computer savvy (coming from the girl who told her first comp it didn't have a harddrive and shut it down completely at two), I'd probably be downloading some Jonathan Coulton songs right about now.

Just sayin'.

Yesterday I set a timer so that I wouldn't spend too much time on the internet just as I was about to check something on tvTropes. I am satisfied that I am not quite as geeky as the writer from Shortpacked! who has a Hot Shot shrine.

And no, I am not thinking about making a CLAMP shrine. Or my phonebooth. Or the shelf that has all my superhero action figures. I am not that geeky. I am not thinking of..

I should make a chart. Liking Batman Begins = Not so Geeky. Hot Shot Shrine = REALLY Geeky. My fanart lies somewhere in between.

So half of LJ's all in an uproar. Wow, the internet is angry at something. What else is new? The situation smells fishy, I mean, I can see why they want certain communities deleted, but most of them are fandom-related, and the so-called causers of the uproar are some neo-confederate militant christians, apparently.

In other news, I'm half-way through Return of the Jedi. Ewoks and Jabba and Luke-Vader stuffs for the win! Also: Boba Fett? Boba Fett?! Where?!

Went to Georgetown today. It was kinda fun, actually. And now I want to drink tea. Except I don't think we own a teapot. This must be ramified, or Ginny will yell at me (Her being the only tea-lover I can think of).

Still bored, though less so. Started playing Video Games again. Been playing more We Love Katamari and Disgaea 2. God, I love crazy things.
